Also hope as much data as can be is recovered. I remember how devastated I was when I realized I had somehow lost all the emails my grandma and I had sent one another back in the early 2000s. BUT I also try to remember how much more of all of this we have been lucky enough to be able to save in our lifetimes than people in previous time periods. We can take cell phone pictures every day! And videos of any number of daily moments. That helps a bit, in my case, when digital catastrophe strikes.

And thank you for sharing about your grandma’s emails (sorry you lost them!) and our current ability to document so much more. At least there’s still some things still precious moments stored on my phone from the last 3 years... and learning my lesson now, my future data will prob be safer! Unless technology advances too fast and I end up unable to access anything anymore. 🥲
